Washougal — Dave Sarchet of Camas won the Port of Camas-Washougal Treasure of Knowledge Community Treasure Hunt. Sarchet found all of the clues in the geocache treasure hunt with the help of his family. He completed the final Word Search puzzle and was the first person to turn in all of the correct answers by the Aug. 19 deadline. Sarchet received an Apple iPad2 donated by Berger Abam. “It was our purpose to educate the community about our wonderful port assets, give people a chance to test their skills, knowledge of local history and events that have shaped the port over the last 75 years. It was all in good fun, and we’re glad to acknowledge a local citizen as the winner,” said David Ripp, executive director for the port.
