PITTSBURGH (AP) — The Los Angeles Dodgers have activated rookie shortstop Dee Gordon from the 15-day disabled list.

Gordon also is in the starting lineup for Thursday’s game at Pittsburgh, batting leadoff.

The 23-year-old Gordon had been out since Aug. 12 with a bruised right shoulder. He is hitting .234 with five RBIs and 12 stolen bases in 30 games.

The Dodgers also recalled infielder Russ Mitchell from Triple-A Albuquerque. Mitchell appeared in 14 games for the Dodgers earlier this season, batting .115 with one homer and one RBI.
