SEATTLE (AP) — Snohomish County has received a $450,000 federal grant to combat child sex trafficking.

The U.S. attorney’s office in Seattle says the Community Oriented Policing grant will enable the Snohomish County prosecutor and sheriff to build a team — a deputy prosecutor, sheriff’s detective, support staff and resources — to target people who profit from child sexual abuse.
