HAMILTON, N.Y. (AP) — Mike Venezia scored 19 points and Colgate overcame 37 points by Eastern Michigan’s Darrell Lampley in a 74-70 victory Thursday night.

Pat Moore had 14 points for the Raiders (3-4), making all six of his shots, and John Brandenburg added 11 points.

Lampley scored 15 of his points in the final 7:56 of the second half, after Colgate had taken a 57-44 lead. His layup brought the Eagles (4-4) within 73-70, but Mitch Rolls made 1 of 2 free throws for Colgate 6 seconds later to make it a four-point game.

Lampley made 12 of 26 shots in the game and was 11 of 11 at the free-throw line, but he was just 2 of 10 from 3-point range.

Moore hit two 3-pointers during a 12-1 first-half run that gave Colgate a 14-6 lead with 12:13 left, but Eastern Michigan rallied to trail just 29-27 at halftime.
