FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) — Former Miami Dolphins defensive tackle Igor Olshansky has been arrested on a marijuana possession charge.
A Broward Sheriff’s Office report released Friday says the 29-year-old Olshansky was charged after he was seen rolling a marijuana cigarette on his kitchen table.
The report doesn’t say what led deputies to Olshansky’s condominium but says the arrest was part of a broader crackdown on street and drug crimes. Olshansky was free Friday on $100 bail on a single charge of possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana.
A Ukraine native, Olshansky was released this week by the Dolphins. The 6-foot-5, 300-pound lineman has also played for the Dallas Cowboys and San Diego Charges over eight NFL seasons.
It wasn’t clear if Olshansky had hired a lawyer.
