Fresno State cruises past Utah 82-52

FRESNO, Calif. (AP) — Kevin Foster scored a career-high 16 points and Kevin Olekaibe had 15 as Fresno State blasted Utah 82-52 on Saturday.

Steven Shepp added 15 points and eight assists for the Bulldogs (4-4), who shot 58.2 percent from the floor to register their most lopsided victory of the season.

Chris Hines scored 14 points and Jason Washburn added 12 points and a game-high 10 rebounds for the Utes (1-6), which lost their sixth straight.

Fresno State, which led 35-25 at halftime, put the game away with an 18-3 run midway through the second half. Olekaibe scored 10 points during the surge, including two 3-pointers against Utah’s soft zone.

The Bulldogs finished with 21 assists against six turnovers compared to the Utes’ 10 assists and 14 turnovers. Fresno State scored 24 points off the turnovers and held Utah without a fast-break point.
