Loyola Marymount smacks La Sierra 87-45

LOS ANGELES (AP) — C.J. Blackwell scored a career-high 21 points as Loyola Marymount ran away with an 87-45 victory over La Sierra in the LMU Centennial Classic on Saturday night.

The Lions (5-3) led the whole way, taking their largest margin of 44 points late in the second half. They shot 44 percent from the field and pulled down a 52-30 advantage on the boards.

Quincy Lawson also scored a career high with 12 points for Loyola Marymount. LaRon Armstead added another 12 and Tim Diederichs 16 while Edgar Garibay snagged a career-best 11 rebounds.

Jashua Zonker scored 11 points to lead the Golden Eagles (0-7), who finished shooting just 29 percent from the field.
