BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Boise State will make a return visit to Las Vegas to play Arizona State in the MAACO Bowl.
The No. 8 Broncos played in the same bowl last year, beating Utah 26-3.
The Broncos (11-1) earned the invitation to the Dec. 22 game with a second straight season with just one loss and a second-place finish in the Mountain West Conference. It’s the 10th straight bowl appearance for the Broncos.
The Sun Devils (6-6) finished third in the Pac-12 South despite higher expectations for their season.
The Broncos and Sun Devils have played once, in 1996, when Arizona State — on the way to a conference title and an undefeated regular season — won 56-7 in Tempe, Ariz. But the Broncos now own a three-game winning streak over Pac-12 teams.
