MEDFORD, Ore. (AP) — Southern Oregon University has made an effort toward making the campus more gender-neutral.

The Mail Tribune (http://bit.ly/svaCZo ) reports more than a dozen gender neutral bathrooms have been installed across campus.

The staff manager at the campus Queer Resource Center says administrators have been very supportive of the center’s ideas.

Kevin Tomita says Southern Oregon University is a really accepting school.

The school has also spent $45,000 to convert the open floor plan of the former women’s restrooms into four separated, locking bathroom and shower rooms.
