Olympia — Republican state Reps. Ed Orcutt and Ann Rivers invite 18th District constituents to participate in a telephone town hall meeting at 6:25 p.m. Wednesday.

The call-in radio-style event will last one hour. Call 1-877-229-8493 and enter pass code 15498 to participate.

The Legislature convened Nov. 28 in a 30-day special session to begin the process of deciding how to reduce about $2 billion in spending. Proposed cuts are heavy on human services, education and public safety. A 60-day regular session is set to start Jan. 9.

The 18th District includes Felida, Salmon Creek, north Clark County and Camas/Washougal.

Orcutt can be contacted at 360-786-7812 or ed.orcutt@leg.wa.gov. Call 360-786-7850 or email ann.rivers@leg.wa.gov to reach Rivers.
