SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) — Brad Loesing scored 24 points and Kevin Giltner added 16 to lead Wofford over Tulane 61-50 Tuesday night, dropping the Green Wave from the ranks of the unbeaten.

The teams traded leads in the first half, and the Terriers (5-4) took a 26-22 edge into halftime. Ricky Tarrant’s layup less than a minute into the second half pulled Tulane (9-1) within two points, but Wofford separated themselves from that juncture.

A Drew Crowell layup and a 3-pointer from Loesing helped spark an 18-8 Wofford run over a 6 12 minute span, and the Terriers cruised the rest of the way.

Loesing went 4 of 7 from 3-point range for Wofford, which was 7 of 20 (35 percent) for the game. The Green Wave shot just 2 of 16 on 3-pointers (12.5 percent).

Tarrant’s 13 points led Tulane, which was trying for another step toward matching its 16-0 start in 1991-92.
