Vancouver police said an investigation continues into the accident that killed pedestrian Margaret McCluskey, 88, on Dec. 2.

Police said McCluskey was in the crosswalk at Eighth and Washington streets about 11:30 a.m. Dec. 2 when she was struck by a C-Tran bus driven by Al Purvis, a 17-year veteran driver.

The investigation was halted on Wednesday when Vancouver police’s traffic unit responded to a standoff incident on F Place in Washougal.

“Pretty much anybody that was working was out there to assist,” said Kim Kapp, Vancouver police spokeswoman.
