Detectives from the Camas Police Department, assisted by the Portland Police Bureau’s Missing Persons Unit, are asking for the public’s help in locating 57-year-old Christopher Michael Kane. Family members reported him missing to the Camas Police Department, on Wednesday.

Kane, who lives and works in the Camas area, was last seen by co-workers, last Monday morning and has not been seen or heard from since.

Family and friends describe Kane as a highly reliable, professional man, who follows a very predictable schedule, and have said it is unheard of, that he would fail to show for personal and professional appointments.

Kane owns a boat moored at a Hayden Island marina, in North Portland. His truck was found parked at the marina, and has been recovered by police, as a part of the investigation. Detectives have also searched the boat, as well as Kane’s residence, with the family’s cooperation, and have said there is no evidence of foul play; however, Kane’s disappearance is being investigated as highly unusual.

Kane is described as a white male, 57 years old, who stands 5’10” tall and weighs 160 pounds. He is usually clean-shaved, with short, salt and pepper hair, he has brown eyes and wears glasses. His clothing description is unknown.

Anyone who knows of Kane’s whereabouts is asked to immediately call 9-1-1.

Anyone with additional information about this case is asked to contact Camas Police Department Sgt. Chuck Nadgwick, at 360-817-1521.
