VanMall — Siarra Edmondson, 17, is no stranger to overcoming adversity. Despite multiple foster home placements, family instability and a chronic seizure disorder, Edmondson finds ways to help others. Edmondson was a featured performer at the Clark County Veterans Court Board’s Christmas Concert on Dec. 8. She participates in the Innovative Services NW Transitions Program, which serves youth who have been or are in foster care. According to Innovative Services staff, Siarra exemplifies the perseverance of a young woman who exited the foster care system and truly understands what it means to give back.
