A non-injury crash caused traffic to backup several miles on Interstate 205 south during the Monday morning commute, officials say.

The crash, between a pickup truck and a dump truck, was reported around 7:30 a.m. just north of Burton Road, said Trooper Ryan Tanner, a Washington State Patrol spokesman.

The crash blocked the right travel lane just south of the I-205 onramp from state Highway 500. A tow truck arrived on scene around 8 a.m. to remove one of the cars from the scene, Tanner said.

All lanes were reopened around 8:10 a.m., according to a Washington State Department of Transportation bulletin.

Congestion appeared to be relieved by 8:30 a.m., according to images from WSDOT traffic cameras.

Details on the cause of the crash are not available at this time.
