Letter: Obama fulfills promise to leave Iraq

The Columbian
Published: December 18, 2011, 4:00pm

As a Vietnam veteran and a proud American, I wish to express my belief and thoughts.

Do you all remember a past president aboard an aircraft carrier speaking before a banner that said, “Mission accomplished”?

Now, I want to personally thank President Barack Obama for the withdrawal of troops and a most awaited mission accomplished.

God bless you and all of us. God bless America.

Bill E. Nelson
