Darlita is a 3-year-old cat that came to the shelter as a stray and her family never came looking for her. Now, she’s ready for her forever home. Darlita is a very sweet and loving girl. She would do well in any loving home. If you think you have a place in your heart for Darlita ask an adoption counselor about her today.

Norma Jean is a 4-year-old American pit bull terrier mix who came to our shelter as a stray. Norma Jean knows a few basic commands and walks very well on a leash. She is very gentle. A home with a yard with a 6-foot wood fence would be best. If you have any children or male dogs, then please bring them in for a visit.

These pets are among those available for adoption from noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Humane Society for Southwest Washington, 1100 N.E. 192nd Ave., Vancouver. Fees — which can include registered microchip, health exam, a spay or neuter certificate and vaccination — vary. Call 360-693-4746.
