What’s happening in Clark College athletics:

MEN’S BASKETBALL

Recap — Clark (8-0), ranked seventh in the NWAACC coaches poll, won the Wenatchee Valley crossover with wins over Lane (72-67), Olympic (87-73) and No. 3 Tacoma (81-71).

Upcoming — Clark hosts its annual holiday tournament beginning Tuesday at the O’Connell Center. The Penguins open at 8 p.m. against Olympic. Other first-round games include Snow College of Utah vs. Chemeketa (4 p.m.), Umpqua vs. North Seattle (2 p.m.) and Centralia vs. Clark Alumni (6 p.m.). Semifinals are Wednesday and the championship game is 4 p.m. on Thursday. (Click here for the complete bracket)

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

Recap — Clark (6-3) won its own crossover tournament with wins over Blue Mountain (75-65), Mt. Hood (65-63) and No. 2 Walla Walla (70-61).

Upcoming — Clark opens NWAACC West Division play on Jan. 4 at South Puget Sound.
