NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Shea Weber, the leading scorer for the Nashville Predators, has a concussion and will miss Wednesday’s game against the Minnesota Wild.

A team spokesman says Tuesday that Weber will be evaluated daily, with no timetable for his return.

Weber, a defenseman and the team captain, was hurt by a hit Friday night against Dallas. He was scratched Monday for a game against Detroit with what the team called an upper body injury.

Weber has eight goals and 21 assists in 35 games this season. He was a gold medalist on Canada’s Olympic hockey team in 2010.
