JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — The Jacksonville Jaguars could be without starting left tackle Eugene Monroe for Sunday’s season finale against Indianapolis.
Defensive tackle C.J. Mosley stepped on Monroe’s left ankle in practice Thursday, and Monroe was wearing a walking boot Friday. He sat out practice and was listed as questionable for the game.
Monroe says the injury doesn’t seem that bad and he expects to play against the Colts. If not, rookie Cameron Bradfield would start against Pro Bowl defensive end Dwight Freeney.
The Jaguars will be without receiver Cecil Shorts (hamstring). Safety Dwight Lowery (shoulder) and tight end Zach Potter (calf) are doubtful. Fellow safety Dawan Landry missed the last two days of practice because of an illness, but interim coach Mel Tucker expects Landry to play.
