Kowalczyk wins Tour de Ski pursuit races

OBERHOF, Germany (AP) — Defending champion Justyna Kowalczyk of Poland won the 10-kilometer pursuit race of the cross-country Tour de Ski series on Friday.

Kowalczyk also won Thursday’s prologue and led from start to finish in the classical event to win in 32 minutes, 4.4 seconds. She beat Therese Johaug of Norway by two-tenths of a second. World Cup leader Marit Bjoergen of Norway was third in 32:11.5.

Bjoergen started in second place while Johaug jumped from 14th.

The grueling nine-event series in 11 days takes place in Germany and Italy.
