No. 24 North Carolina routs Savannah State 74-21

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) — Brittany Rountree scored 15 points to lead No. 24 North Carolina to a 74-21 rout of Savannah State on Thursday.

The 21 points were the fewest allowed by the Tar Heels (9-2), who had all three of their veteran post players available for the first time this season.

Jasmine Kirkland led Savannah State (5-8) with eight points.

Center Chay Shegog had 11 points and 12 rebounds for her sixth double-double of the season for North Carolina.

Laura Broomfield played for the first time in five games since suffering a foot injury, finishing with seven points and eight rebounds in 15 minutes.

Waltiea Rolle, a 6-foot-6 junior, played for the Tar Heels for the first time this season after the birth of her child in early November. She had four points and two rebounds in six minutes.
