NOTTINGHAM, England (AP) — American forward Robbie Findley has hurt a thigh during training with his new club, Nottingham Forest.

The second-tier English team says the result of a scan will be known later this week. The BBC said Wednesday that Findley could be out of action for up to 12 weeks.

Findley completed his move to Forest on Monday, the final day of Europe’s winter transfer window, after securing a visa that allows him to play in England.

The 25-year-old left Major League Soccer’s Real Salt Lake at the end of last season following the expiration of his contract.
