NORFOLK, Va. (AP) — Kent Bazemore scored 20 points, including the 3-pointer that gave Old Dominion the lead for good with 1:25 left, as the Monarchs defeated Delaware 67-59 Wednesday night.

Delaware rallied from a 10-point halftime deficit to take a 57-56 lead on Kelvin McNeil’s free throw with 1:43 to play. Bazemore answered with his second 3-pointer of the game to make it 59-57. The 3-pointer started a 9-0 spurt that gave the Monarchs (18-5, 9-3 Colonial Athletic Association) a 65-57 lead.

Frank Hassell added his eighth double-double of the season, 14 points and 11 rebounds, for the Monarchs, who won their fourth straight, avenged a 75-67 loss on Dec. 4 at Delaware and prevented the Blue Hens (11-11, 6-6) from winning their fifth straight road game. Old Dominion has beaten Delaware six straight in Norfolk.

Devon Saddler had 19 points to lead Delaware, while McNeil added 13.
