Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo takes 65-56 win

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. (AP) — Shawn Lewis scored 23 points to lead Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo to a 65-56 win over UC Davis on Thursday night.

The Mustangs (10-11, 5-4 Big West) led for most of the game and were ahead by as many as 14 points late in the second half. They pulled away early in the half on a 13-4 run.

Will Donahue added 13 points and nine rebounds for Cal Poly while Maliik Love scored 11 points and David Hanson 10.

Joe Harden snagged a double-double for the Aggies (8-13, 3-6) with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Most of Harden’s scoring came from the free throw line, where he shot 12 for 14.

Mark Payne chipped in with 14 points for UC Davis.
