WEST POINT, N.Y. (AP) — Mitch Rolls’ 23 points and seven assists helped Colgate win back-to-back games for only the second time this season Saturday in a 77-71 victory over Army.

Joe Hoban added 20 points and seven rebounds for the Raiders (6-17, 3-5 Patriot League), who have won five of their last seven.

The Raiders made the most of fewer shooting opportunities than the Black Knights (11-12, 3-5). Colgate attempted 55 shots to Army’s 66. The Raiders tried 17 shots from 3-point territory compared to Army’s 32. Yet in each category, Colgate made more shots — 28 field goals total and 10 3-pointers. Army was 25 of 66 from the field (37.9 percent) and 9 of 32 on 3-pointers (28.1 percent).

Colgate, which overcame a seven-point deficit by outscoring Army 45-32 in the second half, also got 14 points from Mike Venezia.

Ella Ellis led Army, which lost its fourth in the last five, with 19 points.
