AMES, Iowa (AP) — Suspended Michigan State guard Korie Lucious is considering transferring to Iowa State.

Lucious was suspended last week for the rest of the season by coach Tom Izzo for conduct detrimental to the program. The junior helped the Spartans reach the Final Four the past two seasons.

Lucious is visiting Iowa State this weekend because of his connection to former Spartans guard Chris Allen, who transferred to the Cyclones last summer after he also was booted from Michigan State by Izzo.

Allen is eligible to play his final season for Iowa State in 2011-12.

Lucious says he’s also considering Marquette and hopes to decide in the next few weeks.
