Morehead State beats Tennessee Tech 76-60

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Drew Kelly scored 21 points to lead four Morehead State players in double figures as the Eagles romped to a 76-60 victory over Tennessee Tech on Saturday night.

Terrance Hill had 17 points while Kenneth Faried added 11 points and Demonte Harper had 10 for the Eagles (17-8, 9-4 Ohio Valley Conference).

Morehead State broke the game open in the second half, after leading by three at halftime (30-27). The Eagles were able to pull away by shooting 61.5 percent in the final 20 minutes (16 of 26) while holding the Golden Eagles to 39.4 percent (13 of 33).

Kevin Murphy led Tennessee Tech with 13 points, but missed 12 of 17 shots. Tennessee Tech outrebounded Morehead State 45-39 and won the battle of second-chance points 21-7. But it got only four points off Morehead State turnovers while allowing 26 off its 17 miscues.
