Pittsburgh ends No. 14 W.Va.’s home win streak

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) — Taneisha Harrison scored 30 points and Pittsburgh finished the game with a 11-0 run to snap No. 14 West Virginia’s 31-game home winning streak, 60-53 on Saturday.

Chelsea Cole added 15 points for the Panthers (11-11, 3-6 Big East).

West Virginia (20-4, 6-4) has lost three of its last four games heading into a matchup Tuesday night with No. 2 Connecticut. Liz Repella scored 21 points and Madina Ali added 13 for the Mountaineers.

West Virginia came from 10 points down midway through the second half to take a 51-49 lead on two free throws by Ali with 3:19 left. After Sarah Miles hit a jumper 39 seconds later, West Virginia didn’t score again.

Harrison hit a pair of 3 pointers and Ashlee Anderson made three free throws during the Panthers’ decisive rally.
