SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) — Kyle Weems scored 27 points and hit the go-ahead 3-pointer to boost Missouri State to a 77-69 victory over Bradley on Wednesday night.

Weems went 6 of 7 from 3-point range for the Bears (19-6, 11-3 Missouri Valley), who moved back into a tie for first in the conference with idle Wichita State.

Jermaine Mallett scored 16 points and Will Creekmore 11 points, and both had seven rebounds.

Bradley (8-17, 2-12) got 20 points from Dodie Dunson and 12 each from Andrew Warren and Jordan Prosser.

After Prosser gave Bradley its last lead at 63-61 with 4:07 to go, Caleb Patterson tied it and then Weems’ 3-pointer put Missouri State ahead to stay 66-63 with 3:15 left.

Dunson trimmed to deficit to 71-69 with 39 seconds to go. But Bradley missed its final three shots, and Mallett hit two free throws and Weems four to close it out.
