CLEVELAND (AP) — Free agent infielder Orlando Cabrera and the Cleveland Indians have reached a deal.
The 36-year-old Cabrera is likely to play second base for Cleveland. He’s been a full-time shortstop in the majors for the last decade.
Cabrera played last season for the NL Central champion Cincinnati Reds. He has reached the playoffs for the last four years and six of the past seven, including stints with Minnesota, the Chicago White Sox and Los Angeles Angels.
