TUKWILA, Wash. (AP) — Police shot one burglary suspect and are looking for another in Tukwila.

Spokesman Mike Murphy told KIRO-TV the incident began about 11:30 a.m. Thursday when officers responded to a burglary in progress.

Murphy says officers were trying to stop the suspects’ car when it hit one officer. Police fired and hit one suspect. He’s been taken to a hospital.

The second suspect fled on foot.

Murphy says the officer is not seriously injured and remains at the scene.

A manhunt is under way in the area with a number of officers from several agencies looking for the suspect who may be armed.
