EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) — Michigan State has hired Terrence Samuel as its wide receivers coach.

The Spartans had an opening on their staff after offensive coordinator Don Treadwell left to become the coach at Miami, Ohio. Michigan State recently promoted offensive line coach Dan Roushar to offensive coordinator.

Samuel was an assistant at Central Michigan last season. Before that, he coached receivers at North Dakota State for two seasons. He has also coached at Nebraska-Omaha and Southeast Missouri State and was a graduate assistant at Arizona.
