Zeigler, Central Michigan down Bowling Green 69-64

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. (AP) — Trey Zeigler scored 18 points and Central Michigan rallied in the second half to beat Bowling Green 69-64 on Saturday night.

Derek Jackson had 17 points, three steals and three assists and Jalin Thomas scored 17 for the Chippewas (7-17, 4-7 Mid-American Conference), who outscored Bowling Green 38-27 in the second half. Zeigler shot 8-for-13 and grabbed a team-high eight rebounds.

Dee Brown shot a perfect 6-for-6 in the first half and led the Falcons (12-13, 7-4) with 20 points and a game-high five assists. A’uston Calhoun scored 15 points and Joe Jakubowski 12.

The Falcons led 37-31 at intermission, but the Chippewas pulled into a 49-48 lead on John Morris’ layup with 8:03 left.

Thomas’ 3-pointer 29 seconds later gave Central Michigan the lead for good at 52-51. But the advantage never exceeded four points until the final minute.
