Ogden named to state board for child hearing loss

HUDSON’S BAY — Val Ogden has been appointed to the Washington State Center for Childhood Deafness & Hearing Loss Board of Trustees. The CDHL maintains the Washington State School for the Deaf. Ogden’s term runs through July 2015. She is a Washington native and has worked many years in state and nonprofit organizations. Ogden served the in Washington Legislature for 12 years and retired in 2002. She is active on various boards and is involved in volunteer work. According to a press release, the school is pleased that Ogden will be serving children who are deaf, hard of hearing, and deaf and blind, and their families in Washington.
