LUCASVILLE, Ohio (AP) — A one-time neo-Nazi scheduled to die Thursday for killing three people in Cleveland in 1982 says his final statement will be Bible verses recited in German.

Ohio prisons spokesman Carlo LoParo says condemned inmate Frank Spisak will recite seven verses from chapter 21 of the Book of Revelations.

LoParo says Spisak informed prison officials of his decision early Thursday morning.

The verses begin with the narrator saying he saw a new heaven and a new earth.

During his 1983 trial, Spisak grew a Hitler-style mustache, carried a copy of Hitler’s book “Mein Kampf” and gave the Nazi salute to the jury.
