HUMPTULIPS, Wash. (AP) — The Grays Harbor sheriff’s office is investigating the death of a 2-year-old girl in Humptulips, but Chief Criminal Deputy Dave Pimentel says it appears to be an accidental drowning in a bathtub.

Emergency dispatchers were called Wednesday afternoon and told the girl was not breathing. They gave the mother and her boyfriend instructions in CPR until fire department paramedics arrived.

The girl was taken to Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen where she was pronounced dead.
