GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) — No. 14 Florida will be without versatile forward Chandler Parsons for Sunday’s game at LSU.
Parsons, who leads the team in assists and rebounds, sustained a deep thigh bruise in a 61-60 win against Tennessee on Feb. 12. A Florida official said Saturday the injury would keep him out against the Tigers.
Parsons has started every game this season, averaging 10.8 points, 7.7 rebounds and 3.6 assists. He was clearly hobbled against the Volunteers, finishing with three points and three assists.
The Gators (20-5, 9-2) have won 12 of their last 14 games while moving atop the Southeastern Conference.
