STATESBORO, Ga. (AP) — Ben Drayton scored 15 points and Georgia Southern snapped a 15-game losing streak with a 65-53 win over The Citadel on Saturday night.

The Eagles shot 51.9 percent (28 of 54) and outscored the Bulldogs in the paint 32-22. The Citadel made only 7 of 28 field goal attempts in the second half and shot 38 percent (19 of 50) for the game.

Mike Groselle had a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds, and Cameron Wells also scored 17 for the Bulldogs (9-20, 5-11), who have lost seven straight games.
