CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (AP) — Lucas Nutt scored 17 points and Marland Smith added 16 as Southeast Missouri State defeated Sacramento State 67-52 in a BracketBuster game on Saturday night.
Leon Powell added 15 points, seven rebounds and four blocks for the Redhawks (9-19).
John Dickson led Sacramento State (7-18) with 13 points.
Anthony Allison hit two 3-pointers and Smith added another to highlight an 18-5 run that gave Southeast Missouri State a 59-44 lead with 5:04 remaining.
Smith made four 3-pointers, and Allison hit three from beyond the arc en route to finishing with 13 points.
