SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) — Noah Dahlman scored 21 points and Tim Johnson added 11 points and 13 rebounds as Wofford defeated Ball State 66-61 on Saturday night.
The Terriers (16-12) led 34-24 at halftime after holding Ball State to 9-of-32 shooting (28.1 percent) in the opening half.
The Cardinals (15-11) started the second half on a 13-2 run, taking a 37-36 lead with less than 13 minutes left to play. A free throw from Jarrod Jones gave Ball State a 57-56 edge with 2:33 to go, but a Dahlman layup less than a minute later capped a 7-0 run that put Wofford back in front 63-57 with 1:39 on the clock.
Cameron Rundles added 13 points and Jamar Diggs 12 for the Terriers, who overcame a 10-for-19 shooting effort (52.6 percent) from the free-throw line.
Jones led the Cardinals with 13 points, while Randy Davis and Jauwan Scaife each had 12. Chris Bond scored 10 points and grabbed nine rebounds.
