Harper leads Richmond over St. Bonaventure 82-65

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Justin Harper scored 24 points and Richmond defeated St. Bonaventure 82-65 on Sunday.

Dan Geriot added 17 points, Darien Brothers had 16 points off the bench and Kevin Anderson chipped in 12 points for Richmond (21-7, 10-3 Atlantic 10 Conference). The Spiders, who lead the conference in shooting at 47.4 percent, made 50.8 percent of their field goals (31 of 61) against the Bonnies (14-11, 6-6).

Kevin Smith chipped in seven assists and four steals for Richmond, which finished with 19 assists while turning it over eight times.

The Spiders also shot 43.5 percent from 3-point range (10 of 23) and held St. Bonaventure to 4-of-15 shooting from beyond the arc.

Demetrius Conger scored 17 and Andrew Nicholson had 14 of his 16 points in the second half for the Bonnies.
