CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) — Chris Early scored 23 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead Chattanooga over Furman 75-59 on Monday night, ending a four-game skid for the Mocs.

Omar Wattad and Keegan Bell each added 14 points and Ricky Taylor had 11 for the Mocs (15-14, 11-5 Southern Conference), who remained in a tie atop the conference’s North division with Western Carolina. The Catamounts defeated North Carolina-Greensboro 70-66 on Monday night.

Chattanooga led 38-26 at halftime and extended that lead to as many as 23, 63-40, following a 14-2 run over a 3:20 span in the second half.

The Paladins (20-8, 12-5) attempted a season-high 32 shots from 3-point range, but connected on only 21.9 percent of those attempts (7 of 32) — their second-lowest percentage of the season.
