CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Bobcats top scorer Stephen Jackson has left Charlotte’s game against Toronto with a strained left hamstring.

Jackson collided with Raptors forward Amir Johnson after Jackson’s driving layup and landed awkwardly under the basket midway through the third quarter Tuesday night. He got up and limped around before sitting down near midcourt 16 seconds later.

Jackson was helped to his feet and grabbed his left hamstring as he hobbled off the court and into the locker room. He returned to the bench a few minutes later, but the Bobcats said he wouldn’t return to the game.

Jackson has been mentioned in numerous trade talks, although coach Paul Silas has said he doesn’t anticipate the Bobcats making a move before Thursday’s deadline.
