CONWAY, S.C. (AP) — Matt Dickey hit a 3-pointer with 1 second left and North Carolina-Asheville knocked off Coastal Carolina 61-58 on Tuesday night to split the season series.

The Bulldogs (14-13, 9-7 Big South Conference), coming off two losses in which they led by double-digits at halftime, trailed 45-41 with 10:15 left. After a 9-0 UNC Asheville run, the Chanticleers regained the lead at 57-56.

The Bulldogs pushed ahead on two J.P. Primm free throws, then Danny Nieman’s foul shot with 1:36 left tied it at 58. Dickey’s buzzer-beating trey snapped Coastal Carolina’s four-game winning streak in the series, including 80-59 on Jan. 20.

Jaron Lane led UNC Asheville with 16 points.

With leading scorer Desmond Holloway suspended indefinitely for an eligibility issue, Anthony Raffa scored 15 to lead the Chanticleers (25-4, 15-2), who are still trying to clinch the league regular-season title.
