PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Two Portland, Ore., food carts are helping feed the hungry and homeless, teaming up with a nonprofit organization called Sanctity of Hope.

KPTV reports that both carts — Whiffies and Koi Fusion — now accept Sanctity of Hope tokens, which can be purchased by the public for $1.50 each.

Instead of giving a homeless person cash, people can give a token, which can be exchanged for food, clothes and other items at local businesses.
