LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) — Levi Knutson scored 18 points to lead Colorado over Texas Tech 71-68 on Wednesday night.

The Buffaloes (17-11, 6-7 Big 12) lead most of the way and survived a 21-5 surge by the Red Raiders early in the second half.

Texas Tech (12-16, 4-9) went up briefly late in the game, 63-62, on a layup by D’walyn Roberts but couldn’t sustain its momentum.

Knutson hit the second of two free throw with 15.3 seconds remaining to seal the win.

A desperation shot by David Tairu missed its mark to end the game.

The Buffaloes, who got just their third road win of the season, outrebounded the Red Raiders 40-34.

Marcus Relphorde added 15 points for Colorado.

John Roberson scored 18 points, and Mike Singletary added 17 to lead Texas Tech.
