East Tennessee knocks off Campbell 66-59

BUIES CREEK, N.C. (AP) — Adam Sollazzo scored a career-high 22 points to lead East Tennessee State to a 66-59 victory over Campbell on Thursday night.

Isiah Brown added 21 points and eight rebounds for the Buccaneers (21-10, 16-4 Atlantic Sun Conference), who played without leading scorer Mike Smith (left ankle injury), second-leading scorer Micah Williams (right shoulder) and guard Sheldon Cooley (illness), but won their fourth in five games.

All three are expected to return for next week’s conference tournament.

Campbell (12-17, 6-13) cut ETSU’s lead to 61-57 on Rico Ferguson’s free throws with 1:07 left, but Sollazzo and DeShaud Johnson combined for five consecutive free throws for a 66-57 advantage with 25 seconds to play.

Justin Tubbs added 14 points for the Buccaneers.

Amir Celestin and Junard Hartley scored 16 points each, Preston Dodson had 12 and Ferguson added 10 for Campbell.
