PARIS (AP) — The judo governing body is criticizing the Court of Arbitration for Sport after it cleared Olympic and world champion Tong Wen of a doping violation for clenbuterol.

The International Judo Federation says the CAS ruling “will have a very negative influence” on judo and other sports.

Tong won her appeal against a two-year ban for a positive test for clenbuterol, which she blamed on eating contaminated Chinese meat.

CAS arbitrators overturned the suspension, saying the International Judo Federation did not adhere to anti-doping regulations in dealing with her case.
