Austin Peay routs Southeast Missouri State 75-52

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — TyShwan Edmondson scored 17 points and John Fraley had a double-double as Austin Peay routed Southeast Missouri State 75-52 on Saturday night to sweep the season series.

The victory was Dave Loos’ 350th as the Governors’ head coach and Austin Peay won two in a row and four of its last five to end the regular season.

The Governors (19-12, 13-5 Ohio Valley Conference) never trailed, jumping out to a 26-9 lead and taking a 33-21 lead into halftime. Austin Peay then opened the second half on an 8-0 run, and the Redhawks (9-21, 6-12) could get no closer than 17 the rest of the way.

Fraley had 10 points and 11 rebounds and Josh Terry added 16 points for the Governors.

Marland Smith scored 12 to lead the Redhawks, who shot 32.7 percent (18 of 55). Leon Powell, who came in leading the nation in field goal percentage (64.1 percent) had nine points on 4-of-7 shooting.
